Our take: The EGO LB6151 is worth considering for homeowners who want adjustable airflow and occasional turbo power in a battery-and-charger kit. Its main compromise is the small 2.5Ah battery: plan around the power setting you will use, not the headline runtime.

LB6151, LB6150 and LB6153: buy the right bundle
EGO’s official configuration list separates three offers built around the LB6150 blower. Check the complete SKU at checkout, because a similar photograph does not mean the same battery is included.
| Offer | Battery | Charger |
|---|---|---|
| LB6151 kit | One 2.5Ah EGO 56V ARC Lithium pack | Standard charger |
| LB6150 tool only | Not included | Not included |
| LB6153 kit | One 4.0Ah EGO 56V ARC Lithium pack | Standard charger |
The published airflow range is 200–480 CFM on the variable control, with 615 CFM in turbo. The quoted 170 MPH maximum uses the tapered nozzle. Those are manufacturer ratings, not measurements made by this site.
How long does the included battery last?
The LB6150 manual gives the following approximate runtimes with a 2.5Ah battery. They are useful for planning, but are not guarantees for your battery or working conditions.
Why does the product page say 75 minutes? EGO’s page advertises up to 75 minutes of average runtime; its manual lists separate setting-specific figures. The 2026 catalog also lists 100/15/10 minutes for low/high/turbo. These describe different operating conditions. Do not read 75 minutes as a promise of uninterrupted turbo use.
What that means for an autumn cleanup
Our buying judgment is that the LB6151 suits mixed work: gentle airflow near delicate areas, higher output for loose leaves and short turbo bursts where needed. If your cleanup requires strong airflow for most of the session, the high and turbo estimates matter more than the longest number.
Before spending on a larger pack, compare the cost with a larger-battery kit. Owners of compatible EGO equipment may already have enough battery capacity to make the tool-only option more attractive. Carrying a bigger battery also changes the tool’s weight and balance; “compatible” does not automatically mean comfortable for your hand and arm.

Useful controls, with practical limits
The speed control can be locked at a chosen setting, while turbo provides a temporary increase. This is a blower, not a leaf vacuum: you still need a collection method if leaves must be bagged. We have not measured handling comfort, noise at the operator’s ear or wet-leaf clearing performance.
Weather resistance should not be treated as permission for any-weather use. Follow the operating and storage instructions for the tool, battery and charger; remove the battery before fitting attachments or cleaning. Wear the protection specified in the manual and keep bystanders away from flying debris.
Alternatives worth comparing
- For a smaller hard-surface job, the CRAFTSMAN CMCBL710D1 may meet the brief without choosing a high-output blower.
- For a larger EGO kit, read our LB6504 review and LB7654 review; compare the battery and charger as well as maximum CFM.
- For bagging dry leaves near an outlet, the corded BV3600 offers a different workflow.
Our recommendation
Shortlist the LB6151 if you want a complete EGO starter kit and can work within the smaller battery’s limits. For long periods at high output, price the whole battery setup before buying. There is no reason to pay for an extra charger if an appropriate existing one already serves your tools.
