Our take: The EGO LB7654 is a strong shortlist option when you want a battery blower with substantial peak airflow and need the battery and charger as well. Its main tradeoff is runtime at maximum power: EGO estimates about 15 minutes in turbo with the included 5.0Ah battery.

LB7654 is the kit; LB7650 is the bare tool
EGO’s configuration list distinguishes the packages below. The current linked Amazon selection is the single-battery LB7654 kit. Confirm that selection before checkout, because nearby options can change the blower or battery bundle.

EGO specifies a brushless motor, variable airflow, a turbo button and tapered and spread nozzles. Its maximum airflow rating is 765 CFM. These are manufacturer specifications, not results from our own test.
What the runtime figures actually mean
The LB7650 operator manual gives approximate durations with a 5.0Ah pack. The blower in the LB7654 kit is the same body model.
The advertised 90-minute average is not 90 minutes of continuous 765-CFM operation. Our advice is to use the setting needed for the job and reserve turbo for short demanding stretches. If your normal cleanup requires sustained maximum power, budget for breaks or a suitable spare battery.
A second pack does not automatically provide uninterrupted work. EGO quotes about 70 minutes to recharge a depleted 5.0Ah battery on the included CH3200 charger, longer than the manual’s turbo-runtime estimate. Our CH3200 review explains that charging tradeoff.
Who should consider this blower?
We would shortlist it for someone who clears leaves regularly, wants adjustable output and values a complete EGO kit. Existing EGO owners should also price the LB7650 bare tool: buying another charger may add little value if a suitable one is already on the shelf.
For a short patio sweep, the larger kit may be more equipment than you need. Grip, balance and total working weight also matter during a longer session. Try the blower with the intended battery if possible; we have not tested its comfort or measured how quickly it clears a yard.
LB7654 versus LB6504
The LB7654’s maximum rating is 115 CFM higher than the 650-CFM LB6504, but that does not establish a matching percentage improvement in clearing speed. Leaves, surfaces, technique and nozzle choice make a direct performance claim inappropriate without testing.

A meaningful saving on the LB6504 can still make sense for routine cleanup. Neither specification alone is a reason to replace a working blower that already handles your yard.
Before buying
- Confirm the kit: one 5.0Ah battery and the 320W charger for LB7654.
- Plan the session: use speed-specific runtime estimates, not the average headline.
- Check support: EGO’s consumer warranty terms depend on eligibility and purchase from an authorized retailer; review the current warranty policy.
- Follow the manual: weather-resistant construction is not permission to ignore operating or storage restrictions. Remove the battery before maintenance or clearing obstructions.
Our recommendation
Choose the LB7654 for its complete package and adjustable high-output capability, provided the battery plan suits your workload. Compare a bare tool if you already own EGO equipment, or use the leaf-blower buying guide for corded and lighter-duty alternatives.
