Yard tool buying guides
Find the right electric leaf blower for your cleanup
Start with the leaves, the surface and the size of the job. Then compare airflow, carrying weight and a battery or cord setup that fits your routine.
What are you clearing?
Patios, paths and clippings
For light cleanup close to an outlet, a simple corded blower can keep the equipment list short. Start with the LB700 review, then check the cord requirements.
Leaves across the lawn
For a route that moves between lawn and driveway, compare a cordless kit and plan the batteries around the full cleanup session.
I already own tool batteries
Start with your exact battery family. The Makita LXT option is one example; the full review list includes EGO, WORX, DEWALT and other systems.
Look beyond one headline number. CFM describes air volume; MPH describes air speed. The nozzle, debris and surface matter too. Maximum-output figures and maximum-runtime claims usually describe different operating conditions.
Three starting points for your comparison
Different jobs call for different tools. These examples help you narrow the type before exploring all 24 reviews.
Light cleanup near an outlet
BLACK+DECKER LB700
A straightforward corded blower for loose dry leaves and grass clippings on hard surfaces.
Check extension-cord reach; this model does not vacuum or mulch.
Mixed lawn and driveway cleanup
EGO LB6703
A variable-output cordless kit to compare when freedom of movement matters.
The reviewed LB6703 kit includes a 4.0Ah battery and charger.

Before you buy
Match the whole job. Loose leaves on paving and damp piles in grass are different workloads.
Count the batteries and charger. A tool-only price is not the cost of a complete setup.
Compare working weight. Include the battery you will actually carry, especially for longer sessions.
Plan where the leaves go. A blower moves material; only a model with an explicit vacuum/mulching function also collects it.
Common questions
Should I choose a corded or cordless blower?
Corded models suit routes within practical extension-cord reach. Cordless models provide freedom of movement, but the battery capacity, output setting and charging plan affect how long you can work.
Is a higher MPH rating always better?
No. Compare air volume, air speed, nozzle setup and the kind of debris you clear. One advertised maximum does not establish how a blower handles your whole yard.
Will my existing batteries fit?
Check the exact brand, voltage family and supported battery models. Similar branding does not establish compatibility. The individual reviews explain the reviewed platform and kit.
Can every leaf blower vacuum leaves?
No. A blower-only model moves leaves into piles. If you want collection or shredding, look for an explicitly supported vacuum or mulching mode, such as the models discussed in the WORX WG509 review and BLACK+DECKER BV3600 review.
